Running Anthropods

In case I'm too boring...

In a random Google search, I happened upon this article from Discover Magazine, See How They Run, about the locomotion of different anthropods. It's quite a long read but an interesting one for anyone interested in how (living) things work and also anyone interested in robotics.

The insights of PolyPEDAL--a lab specialising in anthropod motion--provide models for robot designers to make more versatile robots. It is also interesting to learn the different ways in which these anthropods use their legs to move as efficiently as possible. This could provide an interesting topic for evolutionary/intelligent design discussion.
